Mission of  Function：

Application engineer for Engine Management System for Gasoline Engines for Chinese Customers

Responsibilities:

1.       System integration and calibration of Engine Management Systems

2.       day to day support of customer in the calibration of the EMS programs

3.       writing SW specifications, mainly minor level updates using tools like Matlab/Simulink

4.       verification and validation of the EMS in the vehicles and on engine dynos

5.       calibration of the EMS system using facilities at the customer or test vehicles

6.       participation on test trips with the car manufacturers at locations worldwide

7.       working together with other company development locations (Seoul/Korea, Regensburg/Germany, Toulouse/France) in the planning of SW updates and HW changes

8.       supporting customer manufacturing in the introduction of changes into production;

9.       supporting customer electronics groups in the integration of the EMS/company components into the vehicle

10.   participate in the project meetings with the customer

11.   presentation and explanation of company’s results at the customer

12.   identifying future business opportunities, provide intelligence on the future programs and the performance of our competitors

Requirements:

1.        3 to 5 years experience in the area of engine application/calibration

2.        profound knowledge of Internal Combustion Engines and Engine Management Systems for Gasoline Engines

3.        electronic EMS design/development

4.        definition of functional specifications for EMS hardware and software

5.        an effective communicator in English in written and verbal form

6.        self starting and able to work on there own initiative
