Job Description
The primary lead and driver of electrical commodities like Power Supplies, Windings, Motors, Fans, etc with a global spend of 260M euros. Responsibilities include leading global negotiations, insuring product supply, driving supplier quality and innovation, consolidating and improving the preferred supplier base.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and implement upstream sourcing strategies to support Corporate and Business Units objectives
Install upstream engineering/design process and procedures with Offer to Market and Offer Creation Process
Perform contract and global supply management functions for T1 suppliers
Develop concentration strategy and synergies with Business Units on Power Supplies & Windings, etc.
Locate, analyze, and develop a consolidated quality supplier base to meet current and future commodity needs.
Create and maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers for continuous quality improvement.
Develop and train an upstream advance sourcing team to engage with the design community
Monitor “hot” problems & provide mgt leadership to support priority conflicts/process compliance issues
Participate in Sourcing process and ensure teams’ early engagement at OCP Phase
Monitor raw material impacts, trends & initiate strategic negotiation plans capturing productivity opportunities
Understand, track, and forecast the key cost drivers and market factors for assigned commodities
Develop cross-functional teams to understand company-wide needs and evaluate suppliers
Implement appropriate sourcing strategies to control costs and to assure an adequate source of supply.
Create and implement an internal customer satisfaction survey, utilize output for departmental fine tuning
Review critical production capacity and resolve supply line issues
Facilitate quarterly reviews and develop continuous quality/delivery improvement plans
Reduce active supply base through disengagement process and consolidation
Support initiatives & provide issues resolution as needed
Escalation point for BUs during product development: strategy, performance, quality, execution, cost
Interfaces with multiple locations/BUs/Plants on multiple large programs simultaneously
Map BU technology and product roadmaps with our Key strategic partners
Inputs into strategy; deploys and maintains strategy and adherence to K&C supply base.
Cost management- models proto costs; cost avoidance; design commonality; supports value engineering
Updates BU/Plants on supplier and industry trends and issues

Requirements
· Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma with 7—10 years of related electrical commodity management experience especially with Power supplies, windings, transformers, sensors and power related products
· Strong verbal, written communication and excellent presentation skills
· Excellent negotiation skills & vendor relationship management
· Cross-functional leadership, inter-personal & analytical skills
· Team player
· Demonstrate and able to train others on relevant procedures and knowledge of relevant corporate procedures
· Ability to facilitate conflict situation and keep supervisor informed appropriately
· Able to cope with difficult/new/additional responsibilities with short notice
